In the center of the city, on lower Münsterstraße, stands Haus Beckebans with its Renaissance facade. It is the most beautiful secular building in Billerbeck. The property was first mentioned in 1409. The house, with its splendidly designed brick facade (1560), represents a transitional type between an urban noble court and a wealthy burgher's house.
