History of the Castle+
Early History and Owners+
The castle was first mentioned in 1304 as being in the possession of the Lords of Liechtenstein. Further owners included Johann Schmölzer in 1546, Thoman Provin in 1694, who redesigned the castle after a fire, and Garzerolli in 1766. In 1889, the castle was rebuilt. Today, it is owned by Ruprecht Freiherr von Pranckh.
