Sparow Manor

Friedrich Franz I, Duke of Mecklenburg (from 1815 Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin) acquired the village of Sparow in 1788. The manor house was built in 1795. At the end of the 18th century, the estate became state-owned land and was leased out. In 1812, the war burdens were so high that the tenant could no longer manage the estate. As a result, the estate was returned to the knighthood, which had lost it through imperial execution in 1719. The last owners of the estate until the end of World War II were the Neckel family, who were forcibly dispossessed and expelled by the communists in 1945. In the post-war years, a school and a kindergarten were housed in the building.
Later it was also used as a residential building.
