New-Kladow Manor

The manor house was built in 1800 for Anastasius Ludwig Mencken according to plans by David Gilly. Anastasius' daughter, Wilhelmine Luise Menken, was the mother of the first Reich Chancellor Otto von Bismarck and lived in the manor house from 1800 to 1806. In 1887, ownership changed to Robert Guthmann.

At the beginning of the last century, the elite of the Berlin art scene, including Gerhard Hauptmann, Max Slevogt, and Max Liebermann, gathered here for regular Sunday meetings. The manor house in Gutspark Neu-Kladow is threatened by decay. Since the buildings were placed under monument protection in 1995, the decay seems to be progressing even faster. So far, there have been many concepts to save the house, but all failed due to reasonable financing. Currently, KulturparkBerlin - Veranstaltungen im Gutspark GmbH is working on a new concept.
