Mölln Manor

The manor house was built in the first half of the 18th century. From the end of the 17th to the end of the 19th century, it belonged to the Schuckmann family. Later, the Glantz brothers and from 1908 Ernst Walter are named as owners of the estate. It was Ernst Walter who also had the northern annex built at the beginning of the 20th century. In 1945, the owners were forcibly dispossessed and expelled by the communists. After this, refugees moved into the house, and from 1963 to 1993, the annex served as a school. Until 2004, the house stood empty, and the older part of the building was even to be demolished. The municipal council of Mölln took on the historic building and planned an extensive renovation as well as its use as a community center. The half-timbered building was freed from the plaster, which dated from the 1960s. In 2009, with the help of subsidies and the Förderverein Mölln e.V., the renovation of the annex was completed. Today, the community office, a cafeteria, a hall, and guest rooms are located in the house.
