Menkin Manor was owned by the von Winterfeldt family in 1624. During the Thirty Years' War, the manor burned down and was subsequently rebuilt. In 1740, the manor house was newly constructed. In 1945, Joachim von Winterfeldt-Menkin was dispossessed and expelled by the communists. Subsequently, the manor house burned down due to arson and was rebuilt in a simplified form in 1960. In 1992, the von Oppen family purchased the property.
