Medow Manor

The property is designated as a manor in 1812, but is certainly much older. The original half-timbered construction of the manor house was rebuilt in the Neo-Gothic style in the second half of the 19th century. The single-story building on a fieldstone plinth features 11 axes on the courtyard side. A three-axis, two-story central risalit with a pointed arch niche, corner pillars, and stepped gable gave the house its stately appearance. Unfortunately, this has since collapsed. On the garden side, a four-axis dormer with a triangular gable emphasizes the center. On the south gable, there is a wooden veranda, presumably added later. Decorative elements such as profiled window frames and an eaves cornice are still present, especially on the right half of the building. On the left side, the window openings were reduced during the conversion for residential purposes. There is a partial basement on the northeast side. The south wing of the house is astonishingly well-preserved in terms of both room layout and furnishings. There are still original windows and beautiful double-leaf doors, interior folding shutters, partial wall paneling, floorboards, and ceiling stucco. The original entrance doors on the veranda and courtyard side are also preserved. However, everything is in great need of renovation. Overall, the house can no longer be described as structurally sound. Some ceilings have collapsed, and the upper floor is no longer accessible. There is an acute danger. The roof, still covered with beaver tail tiles, is severely damaged. The house was last used as a school and residence, and has been vacant since about 1990. To the side, enclosed by a fieldstone wall, there is a beautiful orchard. In the former park behind the manor house, there is now a single-family house. A baroque horse stable with an adjoining manor forge is still preserved from the former manor complex.
