Marienfelde Manor

Marienfelde Manor House was built in 1832 as a single-story Märkisch manor house. In 1859, the lord of the manor, Adolf Kiepert, had the building transformed into an Italianate tower villa in connection with the expansion of the garden into a manor park. After the sale of the knight's estate to the city of Berlin in 1929, the manor house, which had previously served residential purposes, was used by public institutions. This led to several interior alterations to the building. In 1977, the city estate was taken over by the Federal Health Office, and the manor house has since been used for laboratory purposes. After another restoration (completed in early 2002), the historic rooms can now be visited.

Manor Park

Marienfelde Manor Park is directly adjacent to the Marienfelde village green and the buildings of the former knight's estate.

The manor park was laid out around 1850 by the then owner, Adolf Kiepert. Since 1929, the estate has belonged to the city of Berlin, which made the park available to citizens as a public green space since 1936. Directly by the manor house, there is an ornamental garden with fountains, flower beds, and sculptures.

The park is quite small at 5.3 hectares, but very elongated in an east-west direction. To the south, it is bordered by Nahmitzer Damm, and to the north by Buckower Chaussee. In the northeast, there are facilities of the Berliner Wasserbetriebe (Berlin Waterworks).

At the eastern end, there is a connection to Marienfelde Leisure Park. This path leads past the artificially created Freeseteich (outfall) and along the Königsgraben. There lies the ice-age Rötpfuhl. The route of the formerly planned outer railway ring has been converted into a hiking trail.

The Königsgraben drains Marienfelde towards Beke (Telte) or the Teltow Canal. An open ditch is only still present between the border and the Freeseteich. The rest of the path has been laid underground.
