Löwitz Manor
A castle Lovetze was first mentioned in 1230 as being owned by the Lords of Bülow. In 1803, the estate was owned by Ernst von Pentz. In 1855, Joachim Heinerich Koch bought the estate. The manor house was built in 1857 in the Neo-Gothic style on the walls of a previous building. In 1868, Koch died and his daughter Sophie Görbitz inherited the estate. After her death, her daughter Friederike Marie Auguste Lucie Jantzen inherited the property in 1900. In 1919, ownership transferred to Alfred Graf von Soden. In 1932, his daughter Editha Freifrau von Forstner inherited the property. In 1945, she was dispossessed and expelled by the communists. Thereafter, the house served, among other things, as a kindergarten.
Today, the house is in a state requiring extensive renovation and has been for sale since 2008.
