The Manor House of Veltheim+
A Jewel of Baroque Architecture+
The manor house was built in 1734 by Georg Philipp von Veltheim. It is a magnificent example of Baroque architecture and has been preserved in its original form to this day.
The building is characterized by its symmetrical facade, the elaborate portal, and the mansard roof. Inside, there are spacious rooms with stucco ceilings and valuable fireplaces.
History of the Veltheim Family+
The Veltheim family is one of the oldest noble families in Germany. They were first mentioned in a document in 1160 and have played an important role in the history of the region for centuries.
The family owned the manor house until 1945. After the Second World War, the owners were dispossessed and expelled by the communists.
Current Use and Future+
After German reunification, the manor house was extensively renovated and is now used for cultural events and as a hotel.
The current owners are committed to preserving the historical heritage of the house and making it accessible to the public. In the future, the manor house is to become a center for art and culture in the region.
