The estate was owned by the von Damm family from 1542. After this, ownership changed in 1648 to the von Rumohr family, in 1681 to the von Buchwald family, in 1695 to the von Brockdorff family (construction of the current manor house around 1730), in 1751 to the von Brömbsen family (1765 construction of a chapel and alterations to the manor house), in 1769 to the Piper family, in 1791 to the Dreier and Plön families, in 1801 to the Book family, in 1834 to the Schleeth family, and in 1845 to the von Gyldenfeldt family. Today, the estate is owned by the Lembke family.
