The history of the building is long and eventful. It dates back to the 12th century and has undergone numerous changes and uses over the centuries.

Timeline

  • 1156 - 1543 belonged as an outwork to the monastery on Petersberg
  • 1544 Kaspar von Ponickau is enfeoffed with the manor as a male fief, manor until 1657 in the possession of the von Ponickau family
  • 1652 the manor is described as completely devastated
  • 1657 Purchase by Albrecht von Günderode and
  • 1661 Conversion into a hereditary fief
  • 1701 new owner the von Funke family
  • 1791 Great fire and reconstruction of the estate, manor house was built in its present form in 1792
  • 1809 - 1839 in the possession of the von Landwüst family
  • 1839 - 1905 Owner August Karl Hertwig
  • 1905- 1945 in the possession of the Bake family
  • 1945 Expropriation, unused for a long time and decay
  • 1999 Reconstruction as a residential building
