Göhrisch Manor

The Göhrischgut is located on the opposite bank of the Elbe from Diesbar. The estate is a small autonomous village with fields and a share of forest. As early as 1313, a knight's seat existed here, which was attributed to a Heinricus de Geres. The present-day Göhrischgut, a four-sided farm with a manor house, was built in the 15th century. Although the estate was subject to foreign lordships over the centuries, such as the Jahnishausen manor from 1696 to 1764, it was possibly able to retain a piece of autonomy due to its remoteness. Today it is still privately owned and houses a stud farm and holiday apartments.
