Gevezin Manor

In 1912, the noble family von Buenger commissioned the Berlin architect Giesecke to build the manor house on the grounds of a former knight's estate belonging to the von Pekatel family. The von Buenger family owned the estate until their forced expropriation and expulsion by the communists in 1945. After this, it passed into municipal ownership. In 1990, Mr. Gehricke bought the castle and established a Native American museum. It contains the world's largest private exhibition of North American Indian ethnography. Gehricke's son took over the collection and plans to move the museum to Bollewick in the near future.
