History of the Manor House+

The Friedrichsruh feudal estate was owned by the von Schurff family from 1722 to 1760. In 1773, ownership transferred to the von der Lancken family, in 1847 to the von Meyenn family, and later to the Neumann and Kortüm families. At the end of the 19th century, the estate was owned by the Hillmann family. In 1923, ownership transferred to the Wendt family, who managed the estate until their forced expropriation and expulsion by the communists in 1945. Subsequently, refugees were housed in the estate. After reunification, the Wendt family attempted to reclaim their unjustly expropriated property. Unfortunately, this failed. Today, the estate is in private ownership.
