Diekhof Manor

The estate was once owned by the noble family von Voss. In 1462, the von Hahn family took over the estate. It was Ludwig Achaz von Hahn who had the imposing manor house built in 1736. The Rococo chapel, built by master builder C.D. Holle, was added only in 1768. In 1779, ownership changed to the Counts of Walmoden and in 1845 to the von Bassewitz family. The manor house was almost completely destroyed in 1945 and not rebuilt. The owners were forcibly dispossessed and expelled by the communists in 1945. Thanks to restoration work in 1952 and the early 90s, the chapel could be preserved quite well. Today, the stable is privately owned, has been fundamentally renovated and shines in new splendor.
