Deutschenbora Manor

The manor of Deutschenbora was owned by the von Bora family until 1436. After this, ownership changed to the von Mergenthal family, in 1748 to the von Ende family, and after that to several mostly bourgeois owners. In 1945, the last owner, Martin Francke, was dispossessed and expelled by the communists. The manor house then served as a school until 1998 and is no longer usable due to the roof structure being destroyed by a fire at the end of 2001. The farm building is partially inhabited.
