Cambs Manor
History of the Manor House+
The family von Plessen owned the estate from 1681 to 1794. In 1795, ownership transferred to Daniel von Neumann from Güstrow, who built the current manor house around 1800. In 1815, ownership changed to Joachim Heinrich Neuendorff from Rostock, and in 1818 to Johann Peter Heinrich Diestel from Ratzeburg. In 1860, his son Heinrich Diestel inherited the property, and in 1888, his son Carl Diestel inherited it. In 1908, the Schack-Medewege family bought the property. In 1945, the owners were dispossessed by the communists. After the reunification, the building was renovated, is privately owned, and is used as a residence and holiday apartment.
