Brunstorf Manor

The manor house of Groß Siemen is a two-story plastered building with a hipped roof. It was built in 1700 and rebuilt in 1774. In 1870, a single-story extension with a neo-Gothic stepped gable was added on the west side. The manor house is privately owned and has been extensively renovated.

The estate was originally owned by the Familie von Gundlach. In 1865, ownership changed to the Melms family, who sold it in 1931.

The estate of Groß Siemen is one of the oldest estates in Mecklenburg. It was first mentioned in a document in 1285. The estate remained in the possession of the von Gundlach family for centuries. In 1865, the estate was acquired by the Melms family, who operated it as a model farm. In 1931, the estate was sold to the German Reich and used as a training center for the Wehrmacht.

After the Second World War, the estate was expropriated and used as a collective farm. After the reunification, the estate was reprivatized and has been extensively renovated since then. Today, the estate houses apartments and holiday flats.

The manor park of Groß Siemen was created in the 18th century. It is a landscape park with old trees, an pond, and a winding stream. The park is publicly accessible and invites you to take a stroll.
