Blossin Manor

The place was first mentioned in 1448 as Blessin. At that time, it was owned by the Lords of Queiß and subsequently belonged to the Lords of Lawald and Maltitz until 1642. Between 1685 and 1729, Blossin was owned by the Mayors of Cölln, before it was then subordinated to the Amt Königs Wusterhausen. In the 18th century, the manor house was built. In 1935, ownership changed to Baron von Lippert. In 1945, the owners were forcibly dispossessed by the communists. In 1947, the inhabitants refused the destruction of the building ordered by the communists. In 1954, the Großberliner Wasser- und Entwässerungswerke became the owner of the castle. In 1955, it was opened as a holiday home. In 1983, the property was placed under monument protection. From 1986 to 1989, renovation took place. From 1990, Berliner Wasserbetriebe used the castle as a seminar hotel. In 2007, the building and the grounds were acquired by teenex.e.V. and have since been used as a youth welfare institution.
