Behrenwalde Manor

The manor house was built in the 19th century by the Counts of Behr-Negendanck. Later, ownership passed to the Liss family, who managed it until their forced expropriation by the communists in 1945. After 1945, apartments were set up in the manor house.

The manor house is a two-story brick building with a hipped roof. It features a neoclassical facade with subtle decorative elements. Particularly noteworthy is the well-preserved stucco ceiling in the former ballroom, which now serves as a communal living room for the residents.

Today, the manor house is still used for residential purposes. Several families live in the apartments created after 1945. The building is privately owned and is continuously maintained and renovated by the owners.

There are plans to gradually renovate the facade and the roof in the coming years to preserve the historic appearance of the building. Furthermore, efforts are being made to make parts of the manor house accessible to the public, for example, through guided tours or cultural events, to share its rich history with a wider audience.
