Altenpleen Manor

Altenpleen was first mentioned in a document in 1312. The estate was owned by Nikolaus Baumann in the 17th century. In 1695, after Baumann's death, ownership transferred to the court and district councilor Christian Schwartzer from Greifswald. After this, ownership transferred to the bailiff Ernst Ludolph Groth, who sold it to Jürgen Friedrich Gundelach in 1718. Later, ownership passed to Alexander Johann Gustav von Berg through the marriage of a Gundelach daughter. The manor was expanded in the 1930s. The last owner before the forced expropriation in 1945 was Fritz Keunecke.

The manor house is a two-story plastered building, which was built in the second half of the 19th century. After the expropriation, the building was used for residential purposes. In 1993, the manor house was renovated and subsequently stood empty. In 2010, a new owner was found at an auction.
