The manor house was first mentioned in 1793. In 1886, it was rebuilt into its current form. The owners were expropriated and expelled by the communists in 1945.

From the Middle Ages to the 18th Century

Over the centuries, the castle underwent various transformations and expansions. In the 18th century, it was converted into a representative manor house, which reflected the architectural style of the time.

In the 19th century, the manor house experienced a significant change. In 1886, a comprehensive reconstruction took place, which gave the building its present appearance. During this period, elements of historicism were incorporated, which are still visible today. The manor house became a symbol of the prosperity and influence of its owners.

The 20th Century and the Post-War Period

The 20th century brought turbulent times for the Goseck manor house. In 1945, the owners were expropriated and expelled by the communists. The building was subsequently used for various purposes, including as a refugee accommodation and a school. The Goseck manor house is an impressive example of 19th-century architecture. It combines elements of various styles, including neo-Gothic and neo-Renaissance. In the future, the manor house is to be used for cultural events, seminars, and as a special venue for celebrations.
