Alt Vorwerk Manor

The manor house was built between 1859 and 1861 according to plans by Heinrich Thormann in the Neo-Gothic style. The client was the von Oertzen family, who owned the estate here from 1826. In 1945, they were dispossessed and expelled by the communists. Today, the manor house is privately owned.

The manor house is a two-story brick building with a hipped roof. The facade is richly decorated with Gothic Revival elements, including pointed arch windows, battlements, and turrets. The interior has been extensively renovated but still retains some original features, such as the grand staircase and the stucco ceilings.

The manor house is surrounded by a spacious park, which was laid out in the 19th century. The park features a variety of trees and shrubs, as well as a pond and several sculptures. It is a popular spot for walks and picnics.

Today, the manor house is used as a private residence. It is occasionally open to the public for special events and tours. The park is accessible to the public year-round.
