Grafenhof zu Höfingen

The Grafenhof in Höfingen was built in 1555 and was owned by the Counts of Württemberg.

This impressive building, originally constructed as a fortified manor house, served not only as a residence but also as an administrative center for the surrounding estates. After the Counts of Württemberg, the Grafenhof changed hands several times. In the 18th century, it came into the possession of a wealthy merchant family who used it as a country estate. During this period, some interior renovations were carried out to adapt the building to the living standards of the time.

In the 19th century, the Grafenhof temporarily served as a school building before being converted into a residential building again. The diverse uses reflect the changing social and economic conditions of the region.

Today, the Grafenhof is privately owned and has been extensively renovated and restored in recent years. Great importance was attached to preserving the historical substance while at the same time meeting modern living requirements.

The building is now a listed building and is considered one of the most important historical monuments in Höfingen. Although it is not open to the public, its impressive facade can be admired from the outside, giving an idea of the rich history of this place.
