The existence of the Franciscan Convent of Eutingen is documented prior to the year 1344. It was inhabited by nuns of the Franciscan Order and played a role in the spiritual life of the area for centuries. In 1640, the convent was dissolved and secularized amidst historical upheavals, bringing an end to its independent monastic function.
