Dominikanerterziarinnenkloster Soest, genannt der kleine Mariengarten

The establishment of the Dominican Tertiary Convent in Soest marks the beginning of a long tradition of monastic life. As part of the Dominican Order, the sisters followed the rules and spiritual heritage of Saint Dominic. Their community, known as the little Mary's Garden, developed over time into an integral part of Soest's urban fabric until its eventual dissolution.

The convent grounds are situated within the city limits of Soest, a significant city in the North Rhine-Westphalia region of Germany. Its geographical position in the heart of Westphalia provided the community with central connectivity while also offering a tranquil environment for its monastic activities.

The remnants or repurposed buildings of the former convent still bear witness to its past significance today. Although its original monastic use has ceased, the traces of this historic institution remain an important part of Soest's cultural heritage.
