The Château de Nexon is a historic castle complex located in the picturesque Limousin region of France. Originally built in the 17th century and redesigned in the 19th century, it bears witness to a long history and is now privately owned.

History+

The construction of the Château de Nexon was completed in 1633 by Léonard de Gay. For the next 350 years, it served as the main seat of the de Gay de Nexon family. In 1983, the municipality of Nexon acquired the property from Ferréol de Nexon, the last private owner. The 19th-century chapel located in the park, which houses the tombs of the de Nexon family, remains in the family's possession.
