A predecessor building of the Château de Corcelles-près-Concise was erected in 1376 by Hugues de Grandson. In 1476, ownership transferred to the Bailiwick of Grandson. From 1710-1766, ownership transferred to Python of Fribourg. In 1780, ownership passed to Pierre-Henri Meuron, who built the current castle.
