Château Bellevue (Sierre)

The castle was built from 1658 to 1666 by Jean-François de Courten (1624 – 1673). He was Banneret of the Ten of Sierre, Captain of the Swiss Guard Regiment in France.
The west wing was built in the 18th century by Joseph-Antoine de Courten (1680-1733) with a private chapel.
The castle was converted into a hotel in 1885 (for this reason, another floor was added for staff). In 1964, it became the City Hall of Sierre.
