The Wolfartsweier ruin is a vanished hilltop castle at 240 m above sea level in the Wolfartsweier Forest in the Wolfartsweier district of the city of Karlsruhe in Baden-Württemberg.
In the 15th century, the knight Bleich von Waldeck, a vassal of the Margrave of Baden, was named as the last owner of the castle. It is presumed that a Roman watchtower originally stood on the site.
Until 1973, a 1.50 m high masonry and foundations of the 14 m² core castle, as well as the moat, were still present. It was probably a tower castle. In 1973, the ruin was demolished by the forestry administration of the city of Karlsruhe, the moat was filled in, and a playground with a hiking hut was created. Today, only minor wall remains of the castle complex are visible. Since 2009, remains of the castle have been re-excavated by the Association for the History of Wolfartsweier.
