Rüdenberg Castle
The castle is first mentioned in writing in 1346. At the beginning of the 15th century, it was owned by Konrad von Börstingen-Weitingen, who sold it to King Ruprecht of the Palatinate in 1406. In 1440, Württemberg acquired sovereignty, but leased out the castle. The castle came into the possession of the Neuneckers in 1498 and returned to Württemberg in 1625 with the sale of Neuneck-Vörbach.
The current castle site still shows walls of the former keep with remains of the defensive walls to the north and south. Traces of fire on the still visible beam supports of the tower indicate the destruction of the castle.
