Neideck Castle

The ruins Neideck also Neidegg or Herlisberg called, is a ruined castle on a rocky spur above the Umlachtal 600 meters north of the town's parish church Eberhardzell in the district of Biberach in Baden-Wuerttemberg.

The hilltop castle in the 13th Century by the lords of Neidegg built and expanded from 1487th 1520 after the death of Viktor Neidegg who was without male heirs, sold the husbands of his four daughters and ownership of the castle steward Georg von Waldburg. In 1525, the castle was during the Peasants' War and destroyed in 1600 began Steward Henry from the ruins of the ruins and Neidegg pig house, the Henry castle building. Of the former castle are still preserved remains of the wall.
