Himberg Caastle

The ruin in the north above Himberg is a former castle, first mentioned in documents around 1400. A chapel is documented in the 17th century. In the late 18th century, it became a manor farm of Oberanna. Around 1900, the building was dismantled. Its portal is in secondary use at the granary of Els Castle. The outer walls of a partially preserved, formerly two-story building from the 16th century, which was covered by a hipped roof, consist of mixed masonry with rubble stone and bricks. Remains of a rampart ditch are also preserved.
