Hahnenkamm Castle
Hahnenkamm Castle is a ruin south of the town of Bissingen an der Teck in the district of Esslingen.
The hilltop castle was probably built between 1250 and 1280 by the Dukes of Teck. The castle is one of a series of satellite castles that were to protect the ducal castle on the Teck. In 1297, a Gumpold von Hahnenkamm is mentioned in a document.
The castle itself is first mentioned in 1303 in a deed of sale. Duke Hermann II (1282–1315?) sells, among other things, the castles of Hahnenkamm and Diepoldsburg to the House of Habsburg. However, the sale is not executed.
In the possession of the Counts of Württemberg since 1326, the castle was temporarily pledged in the following period. The complex appears to have been abandoned as early as the 15th century.

Today, only parts of the perimeter walls, reconstructed in 1973, remain of the medieval castle.
