Etzoldshain Castle

Etzoldshain Castle is a former moated castle in the Könderitz-Etzoldshain district (Etzoldshainer Strasse 60) at 145 m above sea level in the municipality of Elsteraue in the Burgenlandkreis (Saxony-Anhalt).
Etzoldshain moated castle was first mentioned in a document in 1415. Of the former round castle complex, surrounded by a moat, only the five-story square keep with a side length of 7.20 meters and two-meter-thick walls remains. The other buildings on the former castle grounds date from the 19th century.
