Dischingen Castle

The gender of the noble servants of Dischingen is listed in the store's books Weilimdorf the community. It occurs between the 12th and 14 Century in Weilimdorf on. This occupied their castle above the river lime in the garb of Weilimdorf Make Rain southwest. In the 12th Century, burned down the castle, which was probably built of wood. At the same place, the castle again, but made of stone. After another fire in 1311 Dischingen was finally abandoned. After looting the 14th and 15 Century and excavated a quarry near the castle they disintegrated completely. Then for centuries was the exact location of the ruins is not known. Only in 1950 was the old robber castle (so nicknamed in the vernacular) were excavated and treated in the present condition. In the excavations, some old pottery shards were found.
