Diersburg Castle
The Diersburg ruin, also called Tiersperg, is a castle ruin on a rocky hill approximately 1900 meters southeast of the Diersburg district of the municipality of Hohberg in the Ortenaukreis in Baden-Württemberg.
The hilltop castle was built by the Lords of Diersburg at the end of the 12th century, mentioned in 1197 as "Stein zu Tiersperc" of Walter von Tiersperc and in 1259 as "Diersberg". In the 13th century, the castle was expanded and in the 14th century it was a Ganerbenburg until it was destroyed in the Thirty Years' War and in 1668 by the French. In 1763, the castle was demolished for stone extraction. From 1980 to 1983, the ruin was restored.
The castle was later owned by the Margraves of Baden and has been owned by the Barons Roeder von Diersburg since 1455.

The former castle complex was a small, heavily fortified complex with a special core castle that had two palas buildings but no keep. The building fabric partially shows bossage masonry. The shield wall had a thickness of 3 meters and the curtain wall of 2 meters. The complex is privately owned.
