The origins of Dajti Fortress date back to the 6th century, when it was built as a Roman fortification. Its discovery in 1963 by the historian and archaeologist Neritan Ceka was a significant event. Subsequent excavations unearthed several coins of the Byzantine Emperor Tiberius II Constantine, supporting the dating of the complex.

The Dajti Castle Ruin is located in the Tirana region of Albania, at an elevation of approximately 1102 meters above sea level. It is situated in the Tirana district, near the city of the same name.
