The Kunibert Castle+
Kunibert Castle was built in the 12th century by the Archbishops of Cologne and first mentioned in a document in 1182. Owners in 1288 were Count Heinrich von Veldenz, until 1310 the Counts of Veldenz, from 1351-61 as a pledge from Sponheim, 1366-89 Kurtrier and in 1459 the Hospital in Kues. After this, the castle was abandoned and partially demolished after 1807.
