Lindenberg Castle
Lindenberg Castle, also known as Lindenberg Estate, is a moated castle and today an estate between the Ellebach and Mühlenbach rivers in the Jülich district of Stetternich (Mühlenweg 9) in the district of Düren in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The name of Lindberg Castle, which was probably founded in the 12th century, still commemorates its former owners, who died out in the male line in the 14th century. After them, the family von Harff (probably a collateral line of the von Mirbachs) appeared, and after various marriages, the families von Hompesch and von Palants, whose son Johann von Palant had alterations carried out. In 1743, the castle was converted by the Barons von Eynatten into a manor house with a tenant's residence. - On July 19, 1993, the castle complex was registered as a monument "Gut Lindenberg".

Lindenberg Castle is a moated castle complex fed by the Ellebach river.
In the northern part are the remains of the former core castle, presumably with a brick residential tower, on a water-surrounded castle mound. Two towers, wall foundations, and rampart remains are still preserved.
The former four-winged outer bailey, partly surrounded by moats, was converted into a manor house with a tenant's residence in 1743 and is still privately used today.
In the access area of the estate complex stands a 4-meter-high wayside cross made of bluestone from the mid-18th century.
