The Manor House of Buseck, also known as Buseck Castle, is a historic building in the community of Buseck in the district of Giessen, Hesse, Germany. It is a former moated castle that was converted into a manor house in the 18th century.
History of the Building+
The origins of the castle date back to the Middle Ages. The first documented mention of a castle in Buseck dates from the 13th century. It was the ancestral seat of the Lords of Buseck, a prominent knightly family in Hesse.
Over the centuries, the castle underwent numerous changes and expansions. In the 16th century, it was rebuilt in the Renaissance style. In the 18th century, it was converted into a baroque manor house, giving it its present appearance.

The Manor House of Buseck is a multi-winged complex with a main building and several outbuildings. The main building is a two-story plastered building with a mansard roof. It is characterized by its elegant baroque facade with decorative elements.
A special feature of the complex is the former moat, which is still partially preserved today. It testifies to the castle's past as a defensive structure.
