The Benedictine Provostry of Sölden was established in 1115. Over the centuries, the Benedictine order shaped monastic life at this location. The provostry was dedicated to Saints Fides, Mark, and Agatha, with the first documented mention of these patron saints dating back to 1509. The monastery existed until the early 19th century, when it was dissolved during the secularization in 1807.
