The history of the Antoniterkloster Eilenburg dates back to the 15th century, when it was presumably founded. It served as a center of activity for the Antonite Order, whose members dedicated themselves to caring for the sick and pastoral care. The monastic community existed until the early 16th century. In 1522, the monastery was dissolved and secularized during the Reformation, thereby ending its role as a religious center.
