Ambross Manor

The manor house was built in the first half of the 19th century. In 1945, the owners were dispossessed and expelled by the communists.

19th Century

The manor house, a two-story plastered building with a hipped roof, was built around 1800 by the von B. family. It served as the administrative and residential center of their estate.

The von B. family was one of the oldest noble families in the region, first mentioned in documents in the 13th century. They owned extensive lands and several villages.

20th Century

In 1920, the manor house and the remaining estate were sold to the industrialist family K. The K. family modernized the building and added some extensions, including a winter garden and a library.

In 1945, at the end of World War II, the K. family was expropriated and expelled by the communist regime. The manor house was subsequently used for various purposes, including a school, a kindergarten, and a municipal office.

Present Day

After the fall of communism in 1989, the manor house was privatized. It was acquired by a private investor who extensively renovated it and converted it into a luxury hotel. Today, the manor house is a popular destination for tourists and events.

The manor house is a classicist building with a symmetrical facade and a representative entrance area. The interior is characterized by high ceilings, stucco decorations, and valuable wooden elements.

The building is surrounded by a spacious park with old trees, a pond, and various sculptures. The park is open to the public and invites visitors to stroll and relax.
