Old Castle Urfahrn

The Old Castle Urfahrn+
The Old Castle Urfahrn was built in 1427 as a residential tower with 5 stories by the Urfahrer family and was the seat of a Hofmark. The Old Castle was depicted around 1700 by Michael Wening († April 18, 1718) in his "Historico-topographica descriptio Bavariae". After the construction of the New Castle, it was converted into a three-story hip-roofed building by demolishing the upper floors; the ground floor is vaulted. Today it is used as a residential building. It is currently privately owned.
