Engelbrechtenscher Hof Manor

The noble court was built in 1300 by the Bock von Northolz family. The court was severely damaged in several fires in 1518/1522/1577. Reconstruction then took place from 1582-85. Ownership changed in 1628 to the Dukes of Braunschweig-Lüneburg, in 1632 to Dr. Anold Engelbrechten and later to Friedrich von Engelbrechten. In 1973, the city of Gronau bought the noble court and established a museum in it.
